The Shamrock Mini Chip Bark provides a superb dark, natural background, that is not only visually appealing, but allows plants to thrive. The bark is a by-product of the Forestry Industry and is a renewable resource. A 5cm-7cm layer will help reduce maintenance cost by supressing weeds. The minimum depth to give effective weed suppression is 5cm. For best results apply after preparing the soil and planting. Add an additional 2.5cm each year in the spring. Bark will allow the rainfall to reach the soil but deter weed development. It can be used to protect against extremes of weather such as, frost in winter and high temperatures in summer.
