Zerofen 10% is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for the control of lungworm and mature and developing immature forms of roundworm. Zerofen 10% has an ovicidal effect on nematode eggs and can be safely used at the recommended dose rate during pregnancy and lactation. Each ml of Zerofen 10% contains 100mg fenbendazole.
Effective in the treatment and control of mature and immature stages of all major gastrointestinal and respiratory tract nematodes in cattle. It is active against the benzimidazole-sensitive species of ostertagia, cooperia and dictyocalaus viviparus. It is also active against roundworm eggs and inhibitated ostertagia ( winter scours). As with other anthelmintics, veterinary advice should be sought on appropiate dosing programmes and stock management to achieve adequate parasite control and reduce the likelihood of anthelmintic resistance developing. If the product does not achieve the desired clinical effect, other diseases, nutritional distrubances or anthelmintic resistance may be involved.
Dosage and Administration:
For oral administration only using an appropriate 30ml drenching gun. Each ml of Zerofen 10% contains 100mg fenbendazole. The dosage rate for cattle is 7.5ml Zerofen 10% per 100kg bodyweight equivalent to 7.5mg Fenbendazoleper kg bodyweight.
Precautions:
Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption for 14 days after dosing with Zerofen 10%. Milk from treated animals should not be used for human consumption for 96 hours after doing with Zerofen 10%.
