These wonderful plants produce large spherical heads of purple flowers in late spring/early summer. The blooms are made up over 100 florets to produce a stunning ball shape. The flowers are adored by bees and butterflies. Alliums are equally at home in cottage garden style planting schemes or more modern designs where they provide wonderful sculptural form. . They are easy to grow and prefer a rich well drained soil in a sunny location. They will thrive in beds, borders and pots and make a wonderful cut flower.
